    How can I tell if a vw polo is 16v.

    The engine size? Engine code? Count the cylinders? Any more details to let us help? Year of car?

    60bhp would be 8 valve. there was a 1.4 16v option in the UK which was 75bhp.

    usually the 8v has a big plastic engine cover that says 1.4 MPI whereas the 16v has no cover and says 1.4 16v
