I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries when I was quite young. It's now been over 10 years since the day, and I haven't really had much of a look into my situation since, save for a prod around my abdomen when I went on the pill at 21. Does anyone know if I can request a check up, ultrasound etc at the referral of my GP if I asked for one, or do I have to wait to be called by the hospital that treated me first?

I'm 24 this year. No real plans for kids, but it'd be good to have an update on what's going on

    Hello!
New around, wondering if you got anywhere with this? I have a similar case to what you explained and I want to follow up on it but not sure where to start. I talked with my GP but it was a dead end.
    Thanks.

    Hi!

It's been already a couple of years since I did this so details could be a bit sketch, apologies for that

I talked to the health nurse in my GP's surgery, and then together with him I set up some scans and exams in Cork (the closest big city to me) to check everything out.

    I hope this helps!
