In the market for a laptop and finding one with the right specs is wearing me down

    Here are the first 2
    http://shop.lenovo.com/ie/en/laptops/ideapad/300-series/300-17-inch/

The only major difference is that the second one is €130 more for an Intel Core i5-6200U Processor as opposed to a Pentium 4405U Processor. Is there a huge difference?

Then somewhere in the middle I have http://www.dabs.ie/products/lenovo-b50-80-intel-core-i5-5200u-8gb-500gb-15-6--windows-8-professional-64-bit-80ew00hruk-BD7S.html
Its used stock but I dont mind that and its €416

I guess you get what you pay for but the ideapad with the i5 processor is €520 which is slightly above my budget but I can just about stretch that far.
Usage will be the usual web browsing etc with some light video and audio editing, possibly down the line photoshop and illustrator too. Not really interested in gaming or streaming

Any advice would be most welcome even if its to put me off one or the other:)

Did you go for this after? I'm looking at this
    http://shop.lenovo.com/ie/en/laptops/lenovo/z-series/z50-amd/?sb=:000001D4:000533C0:#tab-customize

and seems good value for under €420. I'm really looking for something full hd (1080p) but not sure if I will really notice the difference on a something less if it is us led

Performance will be terrible with a 5400 RPM HDD, try to go for an SSD if you can afford it but as a minimum make it a 7200 RPM if it has to be a hard drive.

Well, if you invest on laptops that have good specifications expect that the price is higher than expected. But if you have specific brand that want to have, Lenovo is actually good. I used to have Lenovo before and performance wise, is better than I had before. You can also try to check some recommendations at http://www.pcmag.com/ and http://www.laptoprunner.com/. You can see there what are the pros and cons of having this and that kind of laptop. Goodluck!
