F1 Competition 2016 - Round 1 Australia

Apologies for the delay in the competition. Have had very limited access to the internet, but all should be back to normal after this weekend!

Change of questions, as the quali has already happened.

Entries must be submitted before the start of the race. No Exceptions.

Please ensure you answer all questions individually. Only one answer for each question should be submitted. If more than one answer is selected, you will not be eligible for points for that question.

Please also include your answer to the final TWO questions, who will finish last and who will be in the top three below.

The person(s) to guess the top three in the correct order, get an additional 40 points. The person(s) to guess the top three in any order, get an additional 20 points. These points are available to all, to a maximum of 40 points.

All results are final at the start of qualifying.

Question 8 requires a collision of two cars resulting in either driver retiring from the race within that lap. This includes retiring from within the pit lane on the same lap.

Couple of questions,
In the Williams versus Red Bull question, if for example, one Williams finished 8th and the other retired or was out of the points and the Red Bulls finished 9th and 10th, who's deemed to have won as it's 3 points each.
Secondly, By finishing last do you mean first to retire or last person to finish in a classified position?

It's total points counted. If it happens to be a draw, points are earned for both answers.

The driver must finish last, not be classified as last.

Much like the strategy group, I've made no progress at all on a new spreadsheet design but I'll do the results this morning.

In all the "will I give up watching this ****show of gross incompetence" the past week, I'd totally forgotten about the competition!

Ok, Soooooo ladies and gentlemen, here are the results:

I have assumed that the "who will finish last" question is worth 25 points, same as fastest lap was.

Top scorer this week, and therefore top of the pile, is PopePalpatine, whose faith in Rosberg was both unusual and well rewarded, as the only person to get 40 points for the podium question.

Last of the stragglers was Wehrlein, of whom only CaliforniaDream and Kxii thought the worst.


Next week I plan on getting the spreadsheet to randomise the scores every 25 minutes during the race, and when the flag drops, whoever has the third fewest points will be awarded 10 extra points, but only if it's a flyaway race. Then the following day I'll deal with all the complaints, tell the complainers I'll recompence them one way, and then do something totally different.

What are the results calculated on? Going by the answers in the poll and last place finisher being worth 25 points, I should have 80 points total. Am I doing it wrong?
