Like the look of a Kempton double today, Brain Power for Nicky Henderson in the opener - won over cd back in November, and Townshend - decent run in 4th behind Mall Dini lto, which was first run for Mullins.

Only having a small bet on Mad Brian. This one has only had two runs since it was out after a long term injury and the midlands national is a huge step up from those two races where it came nowhere. Will be more interested when this goes back to running in weaker Irish handicaps....

I thought that was a very decent effort. Jockey maybe should have held onto him a bit longer and not gone after the two front runners. A small horse but looks a national type.

Decent run buy Mad Brian to be fair, last one to pull up and only 7 finishers was there? Happy enough and will be following him now once back into a few handicaps.

Really enjoyed the midlands today . Helps when you've backed the first and third - firebird and cogry. Didn't even cheer tho when golden chieftain fell. He's been around for years and I think he deserved to get over the last to win

Weird, Ruby looked to have no interest in putting him in the race, one to back in next handicap with decent money
