What would be a productive delay between urea application and pig slurry application?

    I think it's 10 to 14 days

Feck. I spread urea on a field last Wednesday. Ended up having to put slurry on the same field today because the land I had planned to spread slurry was to wet.

The reason that you delay spreading slurry after urea or visa versa is because if the urea gets coated with slurry it will not disolve into the ground. The longer slurry sits on top of the ground the greater the losses due to evaporation. there is a good chance with the ground being wet/very damp with dew/moisture in the mornings that it may have disolved. this is also the reson that we can get higher N rates from slurry spread in wet weather or early spring.

On the bright side you will have a right crop of grass there in 3 weeks time

4 to 5 days is enough of a break defiantly.
