renovation refit UPVC v's Aluclad price comparision

I'm shortly starting a renovation and extension to existing house
The builder has priced Munster joinery UPVC eco therm sliding door for the house and eco therm UPVC windows all in grey.

The total width of the door is 6 metres so one fixed pane of glass on each side and one sliding door on each side which meet in the center.

They looked ok when i saw them in the brochure but having gone to the showroom, i thought they looked awful, almost a through back to something that was around 20 years ago..

so we are thinking of keeping the UPVC windows in grey but changing the sliding door to alu clad.

the munster joinery people couldn't tell me the rough difference in price, they said speak to your builder, of course. can anyone shed any light in the difference between them? apart from the look is there any major differences between them. the alucad locking and sliding system and build seemed far superior.

is they any other options in between these ?
