MP3 head unit

hi folks

i am looking for a head unit , just mp3 and radio , no cd . i was wondering can you get one with a built in hard drive that you load music on because i had one out of aldi before that used a usb sticking out of the front and it fried my usb stick , also there was no scroll down menu ,

i would like one with some sort of menu similar to ipod , does such a head unit exist ?

it is for a 2000 corolla so its an standard head unit

That was your problem with fried stick I think.

I have a 25 euro dumb phone , I got rid of smartphone , the dumbphone charge lasts a week and I was only looking up nonsense n the net , now I just check my email twice a week instead of 80 times a day

I could wear my earphones from my mp3 player on long journeys, I've been doing that for a while now .

mechless is the way to go , cd's are old technology now , i am going to get a mechless head unit and put my music on sd card , 32gb will hold a ton of stuff and make sure i get a head unit with good menu and scroll funtions .

sony did a mechless head unit with a build in hard drive but they are rear and you'd pay 400 euro for one . i can get a mechless off ebay for less that a 100 and fit an sd card to it . life is good

Cd still offers the best quality but the difference is unlikely to be noticed in a moving car.

Be careful with what brand you get. Don't go for some cheap & nasty head unit. Stick to reputable brands. Alpine, Pioneer and Sony all offer decent head units. I wouldn't stray outside those 3 tbh.

true words johnboy ,

i got one from aldi , it flattened my battery and fried a memory stick , the menu was next to useless on it , what a waste of 50 euro .

real first world problems right here , we don't know how good we have it . lol
