Change Strap on helmet?

    The straps on my Specialized Prevail helmet are getting frayed down towards the clip.
    Can you change the straps?

    Been told by specialized, the straps cannot be changed .....
    Anyone wanna buy a Prevail ? previously owed by Sean Kelly :)
