Whatever idiot in the BBC wrote this in reference to the situation regarding women and driving in Saudi Arabia ....
While it is not technically illegal for women to drive, only men are awarded driving licences - and women who drive in public risk being fined and arrested by the police.

should be fired for gross stupidity.

It's actually quite common to hear female voices calling SAUDIA call signs !

The historic nature refered to is the all female crew.

Its very easy to feel smug but its not that long ago that a similar fact made the headlines in Ireland.

Granted that some posters here were not even born then.

Doubt it. he is Dep Chairman, not CEO of Brunei. And he wasn't a operationally minded guy anyway. Barely knew much about the front facing end of the business really.

I wouldn't say he knew much about the rest of it either. Anyway, I digress - back on topic!

    They look very young.

At the risk of being ageist!

I'll take your word on his management style / operational knowledge as i don't know anything about it but he was acting CEO for the last few years at Royal Brunei (I think I remember him stepping in initially on a temporary basis to replace the previous CEO due to a scandal but this turned into essentially a permanent position).

Anyways just been announced that he is moving on
