Its a great late night movie and in my opinion its a animated masterpiece. It has a lot to say about society too. Has anyone seen it and if so what did you think of it?

Yeah, it's an interesting curiosity, part science fiction, part fable from a time when sci-fi was about ideas rather then explosions. I consider it an interesting companion to John Boormans dystopian Zardoz (another 70's sci-fi curiosity) released a year later. Both are concerned with the macro-socioligical impact of technology and the politics of technology on the human animal. A theme that hasn't been really explored with any depth since Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy.

Saw it late at night at the mór festival in charleville castle, tullamore about 12 years ago. It was a good choice. :)

Saw it at a screening a year or two ago.The late 60s/ 70s were a great time for thought provoking animated features like this.

Could you recommend me a few, please, if you don't mind.

It's recent but I recommend Sylvain Chomet's animated movies. Belleville Rendez Vous and especially The Illusionist are fantastic.
