I won a very large box of Ferrero Rocher, which I promptly took home and fashioned into a large pyramid and devoured all on my own, with a large mug of Cadbury's Hot Chocolate on the side.

    I regret nothing.

Read this as "What's the most you've ever worn?". I was looking forward to reading about someone wearing 13 coats to work one day when it snowed.
    Disappointing.

A voucher for brown Thomas for 1000 euros. I spent it on a handbag.

You'd want to have seen me working in Winnipeg one year in January

Most of my sailing gear under office clothes, more on topic of the office clothes than sailing socks and boots

That would be a good thread to start

Won two tickets to sought after Irish rugby game in bar in Rathmines few year ago, woman comes up to me straight away and offers me €120 for them. Happy days I gladly took her offer being a broke student. She also bought me few pints too, was in there looking back now.

That was a Bonny Banbh competition, and you wandered into the pigpen by mistake.

Still, 3rd prettiest piglet is nothing to be sniffed at!

Just over 1k for a match 5 in the Lotto - a few other match 5s but that was the highest and still waiting on the big one :-(
£630 (old money !!) way back when on a 10p Yankee in the bookies
    €840-ish on a 50c E/W Lucky 15 at last years Cheltenham. (3 up....the 4th would have been nice!!)

Between 700 and 800 punts at the Curragh on Derby day about 18 years ago.

The speed with which I pissed it all away was frightening.

I don't really bet and dont know anything about horse racing but my father always puts on a bet in the grand national for me. I have always told him to just back no.4 and have won a few times.

Once he decided himself that no.4 had no chance of winning so backed another horse for me but no.4 won that year.

€625 on Mon Mome in a €5 e/w that I didn't even realise I had won till my brother check my dockets. At the time I hadn't a clue what I was doing it was finger on the paper and then he filled the dockers.

Won €250 after completing a phone survey for Permanent TSB. Didn't even realise I was entered into the contest until I got a cheque in the mail. Promptly blew it on a shopping spree in New Look.

I never say how much I won or lost but doing very well over the last number of years.I like to look at the nearly big wins.Eurovision few years back Chris Doran was 8/1 to win for Ireland and I was offered 500/1 to €100 no points.GB gave IRL 3 points only points received.Coneygree 50/1 Gold Cup × 66/1 Saint Are Grand National €50.I will say Lush Lashes not winning the Oaks still hurts.I had to give up the dogs because I could barely get €50 on.I don't back and drink due to been up 8k at 7pm and got a loan for a taxi at 9.30 a few years back.

Won around €820 on Auroras Encore in the national a few years back. Proudest win is £116 back in the day for making the first century break (116) in our local snooker club.

10 in roulette on that Paddy Power Games thing. It was a 10 freebet so, technically, I got 20 for free.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,961 ✭✭✭LionelNashe

€860 from a free €10 bet on Paddy Power. I wanted to do a lucky 15 but I couldn't make 15 bets add up to a tenner, so just did four trebles from four selections at €2.50 each and one of them came in.
