I wonder how far they will get with this?

“But because it is being filmed in Cork it will attract very different panellists,” the senior source added.
However an RTÉ spokeswoman insisted the broadcaster does not speak about developing shows.
Although another source told the paper, the idea wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.
“It would not be inaccurate to say that the production team in Cork is working on new ideas and formulas for a new show. That would make a lot of sense,” the source explained. “RTÉ to produce new Loose Women-style show

Considering they were gonna do their version of Strictly Come Dancing citing lack of funds, the BBC put a stop to it,
BBC bosses were also said to be concerned about another version of Strictly being aired so close to Britain, and they worried that RTÉ would struggle to find enough 'celebrities' to sign up for the show.

cos they knew it wouldn't be on a par with the UK version, meaning it'll be crap ;)

I mean didn't they do that years ago with some RTE 'Talent' (from the canteen)

But TV3 already have Midday, where they get four clucky old hens in to give out about the men, periods and Coronation Street. Do we really need another show like this?

If they do launch their own version, even if it is from Cork, I can see Blaithnid being stuck in it somewhere. She's the one presenter they have who's the type for it.

Heard Ian Dempsey talking about it this morning. I hope he was joking when he said Twink is interested in doing it! (Not that it will affect me - I won't be watching!). Sinéad Kennedy might be a possibility.

A new outlet for wind bags like Twink, Amanda Brunker and Mary O Rourke. No thank you.

"the Olds Wans", it'll be the sort of thing that Halls Pictorial Weekly would parody if that was still aorund.

Actually given the "type" that tends to show up on these shows "Catty & Chatty" would be a better name.
