    Hi quick question
I was involved in a motorbike accident with a car.
Ive damaged my back. My insurance got me in contact with a solicitor to deal with the claim of the bike but then I got another call from someone else in their firm saying they will be handling my personal injury claim. Now from looking online,I can do this myself. My question is is there a benefit in having a solicitor applying for me?
I've never been in an accident before so all this is new too me.

Yes you can deal with the claim yourself. At PIAB stage it is pretty easy but ask yourself do you know the value of your injury, are you aware of time limits to bring claim. If you have to go to court after PIAB stage are you aware of how the draft Personal Injuries Summons, do you know what proofs will be required, do you know how to initiate or reply to a discovery request, do you know the differene between special and general damages, I can go on.
