Daffodil Day in Aldi

Aldi were selling Daffodils on Daffodil day for €7 and donating €1 to the Irish Cancer Society. Its actually endorsed by them on their website cancer.ie.

Am I alone in thinking it's wrong for Aldi to be profiting from daffodils on daffodil day which have become synonymous with the charity. I mean they must be making a profit of €4 for themselves and donating only €1 to cancer.

I thought there was a daffodil drought on at the moment due to the recent shootings

    €7?!!

I'd rather give €7 direct to the charity than to waste it on a daffodil.

Me poor old nan, eyesight not the best, mistook some daffodil bulbs with shallots the last time she was in Aldi, took them home and fried am up with a nice piece of pork belly.

She got violently ill from eating the daffodils bulbs and was placed in hospital, she's in a pretty bad way but the docs reckon she"ll be out some time in spring.

This happened to a friend of mine.Himself and his two brothers came home pissed one night and decided to fry up some "onions".
Their mother woke up to the sound of the three of them rolling around the kitchen floor screaming with stomach pain.
He hasn't ate an onion or daffodil bulb since.
