Can anyone recommend a good tyre center in Cork city that won't scratch my wheels?

Banks Tyres are very good, based in Turners Cross. Tyre Stop are very good too, again in Turners Cross. Fast Fit out in Togher took good care of mine when I was out there, same with Carfit up towards Mayfield.

I can recommend two myself, Banks Tyres in Turner's Cross and Forge Hill Tyres.

Banks have a very well-equipped facility and they're very nice folks - last time I was in there, I went for a 4 wheels alignment and upon finding a little bit of play in one of the front wishbones ball joints, they simply advised about going back after servicing the suspension. I also had them rotate my tires; They also rebalanced them and only took 20 Euro, even if they they did work a good 30 minutes on the car.

Forge Hill is a smal place, only one or two folks working in there, but very nice nonetheless - I met them when I needed a puncture patched up, and they took no money for it. They sourced tires for me at a very reasonable price and fitted them in less than an hour on a saturday morning. They don't have a 4-wheels alignment machine, if you need it.

Used Banks for a 4 wheel alignment last year and found them good too.
