Hi there. My house mate is moving back Orlando soon and she has offered a lot of design books at a great price ... I think :)

I know you had find everything online when it comes to tutorials and theory buy I think it would be nice to have some books to hand for reference when designing. Just wondering are all of these worth €50 and are there any in particular that stand out to anyone.

Production for Graphic Design was out of date when I was told to buy it...er...quite a lot of years ago. A History of Graphic Design will hold its own for students. A Concise History I never found a lot of use for. Most of those covers look a little dated. Structural Greetings is available as a free download. That's the bad news. The good news is...well maybe if you put an ad in an art/ design college next September you might offload them.

    Good ones are:

How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul
    Making and breaking the grid
Thinking with type, a critical guide
Grid systems, principles of organising type
    5 x basics design books
    Designing Books

Be aware that most of these are 1st editions and there are newer editions since published.
