Wow! That's really not a good idea. They're full of components that could be badly corroded by that stuff. There are metal heater elements, sensors and various seals that could be completely wrecked.

Not to mention it will likely not rinse out as its deigned to sink to the bottom of pipe work and dishwashers use a very small volume of water.

Typically, dishwashers don't clog unless they've been run without filters in place. They usually get something jammed in the circulation pump or the drain pump. It's usually a rubber band from meat or a piece of broken glass or similar that managed to get into the drain pump.

Whatever you do, don't get your hands anywhere near Mr Muscle drain cleaner. It's very very nasty stuff to get on your skin.

Wear thick rubber gloves that come past your wrists.

Rinsing that out is going to be a total nightmare !

Also bear in mind that drain cleaner is potentially highly toxic and shouldn't be anywhere near your dishes and the machine won't be able to rinse that out as they usually only use maybe 3 or 4 L of water.

Goldenpages.ie and check under appliance repair might be your best bet.

Make sure you tell the repair guy there's drain cleaner in it! That's stuff can give very nasty skin burns!
