RTE iPlayer Stream Issue

    Hi all,
    Not sure if I'm on the right forum.

    Really struggling getting a good quality stream onRTE iPlayer.

    I have all Apple everything, speedtest of 80M, using ethernet cable, but the stream is coarse, slow, stalls etc. I use different browsers, I use film and itv player and BBC player - same problem.

    Is it because lots of people or on it? Is there anything I can do? Had some netflix difficulties during the week too. Thanks all

    Massive thread here.
    Basically, Virgin's parent company have stated that any website which feeds more than 3 times the amount of traffic into the VM network than VM feeds out to the site has to pay VM for special handling of that traffic. If they don't, the site gets routed all over the place to deliberately degrade it. Video sites will never satisfy this rule because almost all of the traffic is inbound.

    I've already left VM and moved to Eir because of this.

    I've 2 android boxes and neither of them can play anything on the RTE player. The app is there and you can go into it but once you click on something, it begins to load and goes back to the main screen. 4od works fine. Any ideas!
