Troubleshooting Charging

I am having a bit of a issue with charging and was wondering if there is any troubleshooting I can do. Since last night I have been unable to charge from my home ESVE. The ESVE looks to be working fine, it is powered on and has no error lights. When I plug in the car I get the normal beep but the lights on the dash never come on. I have tried reseating the cable both ends, powering off the ESVE, Starting the car, and using Nissan Connect to start charging but nothing is happening.
This also happened on Sunday evening but after a while it started working again, so was able to recharge.
Last night it started to charge and then stopped after about 10minutes and I could not get it to restart.
Any ideas? This is a bit of a disaster as I was planning to go down the country this weekend. :(

have you recently put it on timer?
Sorry if it's a silly question.

Have you tried looking in the EVSE to see if the breaker has tripped ?

    Breaker not tripped.
    And timer not set.

everything looks fine - it just wont charge.

Do you have the new MY2016 Leaf? I had a similar experience once, using my home charge point. Powering down and locking the car, then unlocking and starting, turning timers off, switching off, turning I don't know what on and off eventually got it to start charging. I hoped it was a fluke, but perhaps your experience suggests otherwise.

If it won't charge and there is no breaker tripped in your consumer unit ( or inside the EVSE itself) and there is no timer set, then try and charge it from a standard street charge point and if it works then you need to get the EVSE checked.

We had an issue with a charger point in work. It's a Ducati unit. There was a 12v rechargeable battery in the unit that had died. Replacement battery installed and the unit is working again.

Have managed to get a fast charge and an on street charge with no issues so I guess the problem is with the ESVE. Have call into eCars so will have to see what they say.
    Thanks for the responses guys.

Has your home charger an attached cable? Or do you use the same one you use for on-street?

It not a tethered unity so it is the same cable.

There's really nothing in an evse except in effect a relay controlled by a micro that generates a 1kHz square wave. Either you have a faulty connector of the evse or the square wave generation is faulty. Not much else in there

Is there anything I can check in it? Not afraid to open it, and know enough not to electrocute myself :)
