I was wondering does one examiner correct all papers from a certain school, like will all papers from my 6th year go to the one examiner or will they be split out individually? Im curious because i feel as if, if we all have the same notes etc and write similar answers that the examiner will be tough on marking them? (i hope I'm making sense) ...

They are sent to the SEC in school batches and then to correctors in packages according to level for each centre. So, if you are in the same room as the others in your class you will get the same corrector.

The examiner will mark them according to the marking scheme. It is deathly boring correcting learned off answers in batches of twenty plus.

Having recently corrected mocks, the best thing you can do to prepare is to make sure you have legible handwriting. The number of papers I had to give up on because of scrawling messes on the page. Other than a disability, poor handwriting is just laziness. A headline copybook and regular practice would have it sorted in about three weeks. No excuse.
