I apologize I am not very knowledgeable in this area but I have Freeview and I was just wondering if I was to re-tune my Freeview box would I pick up new channels? Has anyone ever re-tuned their boxes and picked up new channels and also how often should I re-tune?

    Thanks in advance.

I assume you're referring to a FTA (free-to-air) satellite receiver, as Freeview is a UK terrestrial like Saorview here through a roof aerial and not a dish. What is the make/model of your receiver?

These are the FTA channels available via a dish pointed at the Astra 2E/2F/2G satellites at 28.2°E where you get Sky/BBC etc. - http://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html

Retuning is recommended occasionally as channels can change frequencies/shut down etc.

I apologize, yes that is what I meant. It is a SAB Titan III Combo HD and it is a HD Digital Satellite and Terrestrial Combo PVR Receiver. I am just after re-tuning and I have picked up 60 plus channels but a lot of those are international/shopping/religion channels. The channel list is messy but I won't complain.
