    Another guy/girl was getting the same one. was on amazon think slightly cheaper . Amazon Less hassle.

    I'm more concerned about capabilities than exact price TBH.

    Will it comfortably handle the power surge, as I expect it has grunt enough after start up?

    Is there something better for the situation?

    Short answer yes. Maxing not near the psu capability. Taking into consideration spin up other power additions.
