    Hello all,

I'm an Irish meteorologist, currently working on my PhD in Canada. My research involves installing weather stations on glaciers to observe how changing weather patterns affect melt rates. I'm hoping to generate some awareness of this research and of the work being carried out by Irish researchers abroad. To this end, I've entered a 60 second film competition, where the goal is to give a broad description of the work, accessible to a wide audience. If you have an interest, you can take a look at the video and find more information about the project on my website, ManOnIce.com.

    Many thanks!
