Top to go with this skirt!

I have a skirt identical to this one from new look got it last year and only wore it once. I'd like to wear it again to a family dinner next week but I've no idea what top to wear it with. I'm a size 16. I wore it before on holidays with a crop top where there was half a cm of my skin on show. I was on holidays so no one knew me but because this is a family thing I'd prefer something else to go with it. I've been looking at a couple of bodysuit tops to wear with it and just a nice necklace. Any tips would be much appreciated!

The Bardot top is lovely, very classic, could go anywhere.

Would you think of a loose silk shirt? Maybe in a floral or a lighter colour?

I would go with the Bardot top, elegant and as katemarch said it will go anywhere. Take your skirt with you to make sure the black is exactly the same colour.

I have similar skirt and fitted tops or simple sleeveless blouses/tops work best for me. Not too voluminous. I like the shirt look but I think you have to be very slim and tall to pull it off.
