    Hi,

I have just got a SKYBOX F5 satellite receiver it is working off an old Sky Dish on the side of my house.
This was working fine for a few days.
But not the image is breaking up constantly and the SNR level is jumping like crazy.

The satellite hasn't been touched. So I'm at a loss as to what has happened.
    Any suggestions would be great.

Something like that happened to me on my 19.2 Astra dish, replacing the LNB cured it.

    Hi Hoagy,

I replaced the LNB still at it. Got the satelitte fella out. Charged me €40 to fix the skew on the LNB. Went down to check still at it. It was the reciever in the Skybox. Changed boxes with a Freesat box just to check. All clear. Bought myself a Satellite finder as well. Not gonna be stung for that €40 again.

This is a common problem with skyboxs, openboxes and libertview boxes which are all the same box and a sky dish incompatibility, there is a small cable that has diodes in it that are supposed to fix it but I have never tried one
