Is there any way of finding our what network a phone is on does anyone know?

I need to buy credit for my Dad's PAYG Sim which is an 086 number but I think he might have moved from one network to another a while back so I don't think he's on O2 - or Three as it is now. It's looking for a 16 digit code when you top up if that's any help. Never been on PAYG so I don't have a clue about these things.

Check what network logo is on the sim inside. Then you have your answer.
