ordering from Luzerntech online

OK I ordered a little refurbished laptop from Luzerntech Dublin on Monday 1am in morning through their website, wasn't sent on Monday or Tuesday , so I phoned them Wednesday to say can they send it out today and they said its already sent out for delivery. OK I should get it tomorrow I said, your in Dublin, I'm in sligo. No they said you won't get it until next Monday because its coming from Germany! - pretty angry that at no part on their website or in the ordering process had they mentioned on their website that the items were held in a Germany warehouse, maybe the clue is in the name but still, when I place an order with a Dublin online retailer and they have nothing to indicate otherwise I presume the item is going to come from ireland. Has anyone else on here ordered from Luzerntech? What do you think about this delivery/stock situation? Its made me think again of placing any more orders with them. The customer service guy said he is going to have a word with the web design team to get them to put where the item is stocked for the future but this don't help me out with my problem now of waiting for my delivery to arrive.

Quite normal - loads of international sites do this.

    You can cancel the order.

It does seem to be an Irish company, but it doesn't give a delivery guarantee. Having one warehouse saves hugely on costs. Amazon are similar, orders taken and fulfilled in the warehouse they choose - you never know where that warehouse is.

Don't Luzerntech just list items from a German supplier (their "warehouse") who looks after delivery etc.? That's the impression I've always had.

It is poor form though, not stating the location of the item.
