Would Britain leaving the EU benefit Ireland in any way?

I was reading the director of the BOE saying that if Britain were to leave the EU then he foresees many banks moving away.
It then got me thinking, apart from the negative affects this could have for Ireland, what would be the benefits?
Surely being recognised as the only English speaking EU member would be highly beneficial?
Could banks which ditch London think of Dublin as the next best bet or would they be more inclined to head to Paris?
    Very interesting times ahead.

We could move the place closer to France. Improve the weather a good bit I'd say.

It would benefit our science as their science funding would drop hugely.

People trafficking across the border could be a boom business.

Duty Free booze and cigarettes would be the main benefit

Only dead ones though. Trafficking live people is inhumane.

Weather in Biscay isn't that continental - often shrouded in cold fog while severe sudden gales are common all year round.

It already is, or where do you imagine half of Pakistan and Nigeria enter the country, via those direct flights?

Having to implement boarder controls would save us millions in dodgy asylum claims and cut down on cross boarder crime.

Brexit would be a boon also to the casino bankers in the IFSC and the brass plate company registration business, but that boon comes with an obvious health warning....

I imagine that if they do leave, we'll end up signing a treaty of some sort that establishes many of the conditions already in place.

They're not going to build a big beautiful wall, with a beautiful door along the border and make us pay for it.

I catagorily deny any involvement in people trafficking.
