Opel Astra G (02) - replacing CDR500

    Hi folks,

I recently picked up an 02 Opel Astra which has the CDR500 stereo fitted as standard. The car came with limited paperwork, so I don't have the code for the stereo. The stereo is working fine, but I have a newer unit I'd like to swap in.
If things don't go to plan, and I have to refit the original unit, is there any way of finding out the code - presuming I will require the code to re-activate the unit?

    thanks
