I watched Deadpool on the Imax screen there a few weeks ago & found it pretty good - gave the action scenes plenty of impact. As regards the cropping issue it's hard to know since I have no other version to compare it to - that was the only time I saw the film.

There's no cropping. The issue with Digital IMAX screens is not the aspect ratio, it's that they are above average multiplex screens with IMAX branding and prices. "Real" 70mm IMAX screens are huuuge and would not fit inside a multiplex. In fact, most of the Cineworld building used to be an IMAX theatre.

It's only an issue for films shot in 70mm IMAX, which Cloverfield Lane wasn't. It's a small film, see it anywhere. Or if you have the money, see it in Cineworld's IMAX and decide for yourself if it's worth it. It's up to you.

There are no IMAX screens in Ireland. It's just a marketing ploy. I have been to IMAX in London. You'll know it when you've seen and heard it. Awesome
