Is it worth it, the wifi is atrocious on the Cisco (10 devices doesnt help)

is there any point in bridging it and using my old DDWRT router.

Or is new router ie TP Archer C7 the best all round bet?

I presume you mean Linksys WRT54G. Get the Archer it has the latest wireless 801.11ac and will have much faster speeds. 802.11g that the Linksys uses maxes at about 30mbit actual throughput.

Deffo best to bridge and use your own router. The Archer C7 gets rave reviews on the broadband forum, there are also C8 and C9 versions currently available.
