Shower Tray Upstand

Shower tray has a very slight slope towards the front. I expect that is to ensure it empties fully. The drain is on the front. Problem is, some of the water which runs down the wal tiles , runs along the top edge of the tray and leaks onto the floor. It's a very small amount but the floor is wood and is now becoming discoloured. The mat does not stop it.

I put a bead of silicon on the front rim of the tray and it stops the leaking. Wondering if there is something I can fit to the tray to stop water leaking out?

    Thanks .

Can you put up some photos? I'm not sure if i'm fully understanding

The shower tray should be level. The tray itself has a built in slope inside the tray to drain the water but you should be able to put a spirit level on the outside of the tray and it should be perfectly level in all directions.

Does the tray have built in upstands? If so the tiles should cover them & not sit on top of them
It sounds like the tray needs to be removed & re fitted with the bottom row of tiles needing replacing

I will try and post a photo.
The shower is built into a corner, back and both sides tiled and a curtain at front. There is no issue with the tiling or up stands just a slight leak out the front dripping from the top of the tray. I will check levelling with spirit level.

If the curtain is installed correctly & closed correctly then you shouldn't have any leaks or drips. Is the water backing up & filling the shower tray?

Simplest solution would be to install a shower door though the curtain should do the job.

Possibly the shower head is pointing the wrong direction?

    Thanks Sleeper for the info.
I checked with a spirit level and there is a slight slope forward.
I guess it needs to be reseated although a shower door would be a cheaper option with the added advantage over a curtain. Thanks again.

Have a similar problem to the poster above. Water seems to be running along up the up stand, under the door and into the wall beside the door. I'll check with the level later. Should the upstand have something at the front of the tray to stop water coming out or is it all down to the tray being level?

Hard to say what is wrong with out photo. Basically nothing should be sitting on top of the upstand. Upstand against the wall should be tiled over with bottom of the tile almost touching shower tray, not the upstand. In other words don't tile to the top of up stands. Up stands should be behind the tile.
Same with shower door. Door frame doesn't sit on up stands. It sits inside of the up stand. Now all water should be going into the tray with nowhere else to go
