Trustworthy goldsmith?

    Hi there.

I have a loose diamond that I want to get made into an engagement ring.

Does anyone know a trustworthy / reputable goldsmith in Dublin?

My fear is giving the diamond to be made to a ring and it being swapped for something of lesser quality.

I've read some nightmare stories online and I wouldn't know what to do.

My friend is getting her ring made by Tobins Jewellery Repair off Camden St in Dublin. She shopped around a good bit and apparently this is a place her aunt has used again and again.

She got diamonds from her mother (arthritic hands so she can't wear her rings anymore) and are getting them remade into something new.

Have you tried Greens on Aungier St? They're a family jewellers that have been around for generations. Really great smiths in there
