Laptop fan making unusual noise

I have a Dell D630 laptop thats about 8 years old and still working fine after replacing the HDD with an SSD. In the last couple of weeks the fan has been making unusual sounds like vibrations or something wrong mechanically. This doesn't happen all the time but it happens every day.

I tried cleaning the fan vents with compressed air but its still making noise. Is there any any program that can tell you if a fan isn't working right?

Its very probably the bushes/bearing on the fan are wearing out. Replace it.

    Definitely a possibility.

I used to have that laptop, and had the same issue and there was a cable nearby to the fan that was catching on it very slightly which caused the noise.
