Anyone out here from it, I just seen on Facebook it has an A4 race so I might pop out and see can I get on. Only 60 places, and it would appear to be sign up on the morning only unless i missed something.

60 riders on that circuit is going to be messy , I think I'll be giving it a miss

Easy money for the organisers. In both races i'm assuming that you will have to pull out once caught which will be happening within a few laps. Both ourselves and Orwell held club league races there last year without incident.

I was talking with the organisers earlier. I've posted what they sent onto me.

My post was a vain attempt to get CramCycle to do the A3 race.

Looking forward to this, first race back for me.

You better be there Cram so I have someone to sit on.

I confirmed being allowed out for the Boyne GP on Sunday but this is close to home and I should be back early so I will confirm my attendance by Thursday.

It will be confusing for both of us though as it has turns that are not left, after racing track, I am starting to feel like Zoolander, like all track cyclists, I am really really good looking but I can only turn one way.

We had a bull, blind in one eye, who used to spin left to turn right, it was hilarious. It also was great for safety as you only had to walk to your right if he looked like he would charge.

Corkagh isn't that much different, there is only one right turn to speak of, the rest is left only. It really is like a velodrome, you don't need brakes, cornering is not an issue, it's just a bit windier. I'm fully expecting taxuser1 to romp this one, fingers crossed.

    Not really

You can pedal through all the corners though, and there is only one gentle enough right turn IIRC.

Maybe they will put that hairpin in now and again for the craic

Did the A4 race. It was pretty tough. Small enough field and a pretty strong wind on the finishing straight meant there was really nowhere to hide. Tried to get a break going but it ended in a bunch sprint. Ended up 3rd overall. First race in a long time. Fairly pleased.

You overtook me on my 7th lap. I lost the group on the second turn and then it was just a case of loosing a bit more each lap. Good workout that's for certain.

Gained a few places and got good practice in cornering in a crosswind.

A lesson in humility that's for certain for me.

It was flat out from the start. We weren't all that much slower than the A3/A2 race from what I could tell on strava. were you on the Planet-x?

Stevens and the Tiernans jersey. I just pulled in when I seen you get to 50m behind me on the bottom half of the track.
