So my gran got the tv and fibre broadband for eir last week up until then she was on Vodafone which she got 94Mb/s download with them the line was set to 102000kbps now that she switched to eir it's set much slower I understand that the eir tv box deducts some broadband speed for it but now she's only getting 35Mb/s the line is set to 40960 Kbps from checking the line stats on the router.

I have added an image of her line stats in this post. Is this normal for eir? Or should it be higher I'm assuming it should be.

Get in touch with eircom its most likely that have your line speed limited ... Although 35mb is grand to work away with everything compared to my 3mb lol

Lines fine, its just a profile glitch. The installer probably had them pull it back while working on it.

They'll be able to push it back to 85Mb, no higher with TV applied.

Yeah lol it's a lot for my gran giving the fact that she never really uses it only people visiting like myself :) it's faster than my own internet with Sky at 25Mb

Thanks ! I was thinking even with the TV it was still a bit low considering her line is really good her house is around 100m from the cabinet , I'll have to contact them to raise the speed up for her :)

Yea it's definitely on the low side. When I was with eir I was on a 70/20 profile getting around 65/19 actual speeds without their TV service. When I trialled their TV service they put me on a 50/15 stable profile getting around 47/14 actual speeds. I'm about 500m from the cabinet. I'm sure eir could put her on a higher stable profile.
