I was hoping to pick up an archer C7 in pcworld today but the few I went to had none. I ended up buying an archer C9.
I'm not sure if it was the best choice though so between the archer C9 and the netgear R7000 which would you choose and why.

I only have 30mb from Vodafone at the moment but hopefully in the next few months will have FTTH so it's future proofing.

C9 will manage 730Mb from WAN, R7000 will do 930Mb, so if you end up with Gig FTTH thats worth considering.

The only things wired are Ps4 and the sky box so more interested in the wireless performance. There is usually 10 devices connected all the time and upto 20 sometimes.

No, thats WAN to lan, so if you buy 1Gb from SIRO or eir you only get to use 730Mb amongst all clients, even if you have a few 500Mb AC devices.

Don't know how I can find out what link rate my iPhone has but the missus' S6 is telling me anything from 500mb up to 822mb. That was about 20ft away.

I've read the R7000 has brilliant wifi coverage but haven't tested the c9 enough yet.
