It's being dubbed Top Gear for wine snobs... if anyone hears the airdate for this, please bump!

A new television series that promises to ‘revolutionise’ the way wine is discovered and enjoyed will be aired on ITV in the UK this spring. The Wine Show stars actors Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys, along with wine experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer, and visits 12 countries on six continents during 13 hour-long programmes.

I expect if we can get any of the featured wines over here, they will disappear very quickly off the shelves...

Good grief that was disappointing. A kind of Top Gear spin off.
Great locations and interesting facts about wine but the dumbed down, laddish nature of it didn't work for me.

But saying all that Umbria looked gorgeous.

Finally got around to seeing the first episode.

Thought it went on at least 20 minutes too long, these kind of shows work best in 30 minutes.
I don't think mixing the laddish stuff with the 2 wine experts learning about wine works at all.
The two actors have good presence on screen, and their scenes in Italy are sumptuously filmed - but I didn't really get a feel for how the wines in this episode's region differed from any other Italian region.
    Gadget segment felt rushed.
South Africa segment was good and informative.
It would have made more sense to have the food pairing segment in Italy.
