    Hi folks,

I have a plumbing problem and am gonna call my landlord next week about it, but just wondering if there is anything obvious I can do to fix it?

Not sure how to describe the boiler but the manual says -

    "Introduction
The istor HE260 & HE325 are fully automatically controlled, condensing, system store, fan flued boilers."

    I think it's a combi boiler.

Anyway it's been behaving strangely lately, turning the central heating on when the thermostat is off and making strange noises.

Yesterday it started turning itself on again and I switched it off because it was over heating the apartment. I forgot about it and when I turned it back on today the boiler is constantly boiling and the hot water is flowing out the Tundish like a tap. The pressure was also zero.

I turned off the boiler and used the loop to fill the pressure up to 1.5 bar. Thinking this would fix it I started it up again and after a little while the water started flowing out the tundish again. I thought it might sort itself out so I gave it a couple of hours and went back to it, Water still pumping out full blast into the Tundish.

So I have no choice but to disable it as it's really noisy and I am concerned about the water metre ( We're in London).

As I said I will get an engineer out to look at it but has anyone any ideas what might be going on ?

    Thanks.

If you have water pouring through the tundish then either the pressure relief valve has lifted due to over pressure in the system, or it is faulty.
You need the Gas Safe service technician to call and diagnose the cause.
