Cheers for posting, and don't take this the wrong way, but what are people going to do for circa 10 days in Newfoundland? The Toronto flights are of interest to people. But Westjet is basically a Canadian Ryanair so don't expect any comfort.

Everytime I see one of these deals to Newfoundland etc, I am blown away by the sheer size of Canada.

St Johns to Toronto is 37 hours by road or 3h 35 min flight. If start from Dublin and head east similar distance, you could almost make it to Asian side of Istanbul. And that's just about 1/5th of the width of Canada!

Just remember that Starting March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid visa.

    You will pay 7 CAN$.

St. Johns is a nice town, has a terrific market. We stopped there en route to Prince Edward Island.

I took that flight two years ago in June. Short flight for transatlantic, which was great. I loved Newfoundland. St Johns is small with one main strip full of pubs, which isn't the most glamorous. But from if it is the right season you can go whale and ice berg watching. I did a cycling tour, and it was unreal. It is a very quiet place, but really interesting. I went up to Change Island and Fogo Island, which was constant whales and ice - bergs. It is the type of place you have to talk to the locals to find out what to do and where to go. There won't be loads of decent pubs advertised, but you might get invited to hang out with a few beers in some sheds. Great hiking as well, and lots of spots for camping. Definitely need a car unless you are up for some cycling, which might not be the best use of 10 days.
