What course would a person need to take to be able to teach geography at second level? Please help as I am confused.

You would need one of the Geography degrees that are accepted by the Teaching Council. They outline what it must have in this document.

Sorry, I should have added that after your degree you would have to do a two year teacher education course which is quite expensive and then you hope for the best as regards any jobs.
