So, just got through watching The Staircase and The Jinx. Both were utterly compelling, totaly fascinating, exceptionally brilliant documentaries. I thought i'd see what kind of threads there were on these here but haven't seen any? So - new thread.

In terms of other TC Documentaries, I found Making a Murderer compelling watching also while watching but it left me quite frustrated afterwards and it reallynis several rungs of quality belowbthe aforementioned. Due, I think, to how the show was put together really.

West of Memphis was good. I know there are three Paradise Lost films but I've no interest in them now really.

Also tried watching Thin Blue Line but it just could not hold my interest after the previous. Nowhere close in quality.

Think I have probably exhausted the quality True Crime Documentaries around now. Heard of Murder on a Sunday Morning so I may give that a shot.

Werner Herzog's Into the Abyss is a really good watch. Looks at the crime from both the perpetrator's and victim's PoV in a very balanced manner.

    The Iceman Interviews

    Give Up Tomorrow

    The Central Park Five

    The Imposter

    The Seven-Five

    Capturing The Friedmans

I've watched, and enjoyed, all of these recently so you might find something there of interest.

Not a documentary but if you're strung out for true crime stuff I would recommend the Sword and Scale podcast. I've enjoyed some episodes more than any of the documentaries mentioned. All the cases are very well researched and the episodes contain recorded phone calls, interviews, audio from court and audio from the actual murders in some cases.
    Couldn't recommend it enough.
