    The UK's Rural Broadband Scheme has been conducting trials for "superfast broadband*' in very low density areas.

    Public subsidies of £450 to £1220 will be required, depending on technology. However only one terrestrial technology is able to serve 'one-off houses' and still make a profit. Its FTTP.
