    Hello,

Does anyone know how I can change the default IP address of the F2000 modem?

When I attempt to change it to .2.254 it won't let me....

Cant change the third octet. Its a limitation in the firmware. Only real failing of the unit.

    Thanks,

That's a strange thing to disallow.

It was something Huawei did as the same bug is present in New Zealand, seems it never got fixed though it was detected more than a year ago IIRC.

Thanks ED, guess my client will have to move away from .2.1 IP range

That's odd. I got eir fibre installed yesterday and I can change the third octet. Can't change the mask but the IP address itself is changeable.

Will it accept the change or do you mean you can type it in?

I can type in what ever I want but it won't take any number but 1
