Just wondering if any offices are being lovely and closing on the 18th March?!?!

I'm trying to drop subtle hints to my boss to close our office on the day :D

We're off Thurs for Paddy's and they just take a day of our floating holidays off us for the Friday and shut the place because they nobody's gonna turn up anyway.

I'm working paddys day and the day after , double time and as nobody is in I will have very little to do. I wouldn't have been able to go out and have a night on the beer being in work the next day so I don't mind working it.

We have a company day every year and it was decided last year that the 18th March was it this year, some years its around Christmas etc. It'll be nice to have the few days off

Remember, Cheltenham is on Friday also, which will mean that many will take that day off as well.

It's a normal business day so working as always. Same for good Friday, could never understand other private sector businesses having that off.

Taking the day off as a colleague is getting married that day. Most of my own team are off, did schedule like 50 others to work that day though.

Same here. As usual, I won't be darkening the door of any pubs on Paddys Day. Too many sloppy drunks spilling their plastic glasses over each other. Next day, may as well clock up the flexi in an empty office with a good book. I'll need it for the monumental 4 day weekend that follows (make that five days in my case). Stupid but not very taxing Civil Service.;)
