Wexford's South East Radio was off air completely (except for web streams) from the morning of Wednesday 2nd March due to a fault at their main transmitter on Mt Leinster. I guess all their other transmitters relay this, as all were off.

They didn't return until the following morning.

Surprised they had no back up. Was it not a link issue from studio to transmitter?

I don't know what the exact cause was, but it sounded to me as if the 95.6 tx was completely off air.

Backups? Why would you spend good money on backups when you hardly ever use them?

    .

Isn't there a transmitter at the studio on 96.2 (10 watts?) which would have been unaffected?
