Laser teeth whitening. Is it safe?

I am looking to get my teeth whitened and have seen a laser treatment? Is this safe and can anybody recommend a place or treatment to get.

I am not looking to spend time with a gel or periodic self apply treatment. A one stop shop would suit me better if it is possible.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

Safe and relatively painless, it's like having a tiny pin lightly tapped on your teeth hundreds of times a second. Results are dazzlingly instant, I wouldn't recommend going to a club with a dark-light the evening you get it done.

    :D <-this is you afterwards

 <- this is your friends

Once off "Laser" (there is no laser) whitening treatments are pretty ineffective. Usually there is significant relapse soon afterwards, and a lot of the treatment caused significant sensitivity.

People spend time with a gel or periodic self apply treatments is because they are effective not because they are handy.

My gf decided to get it done and signed me up also. Results were great for me non smoker but coffee drinker but less so for her as she smokes. Some sensitivity afterwards but gone quickly. The whiteness didn't last too long before mine reverted to their natural shade. Overall I don't think it was worth it unless you were doing it for an event and wanted a brighter smile quickly. It was quick boring and painless. We only bothered doing it once to try it out.

I got it done and it had reverted to normal within a couple of days. Ended up getting my money back after a huge argument with the crowd, would only ever go for the proper gels with my own dentist rather than some crowd with a shop on a main street if I was getting it done again.

How much did you pay out of interest?

There is actually a lot of science behind tooth whitening, and several good studies done on the various methods of whitening. In every study one off in office treatment are the least effective.

Its a waste of money....there are some methods that use a conditioning process at home and then an in office portion that are very effective but they are at the highest end of the spectrum in cost and time required.

Think it was around 200 on one of the deal sites, so expensive enough for it not to work well enough!

I've had it done twice and I quite agree with this
If you have a big once off event or something getting it done the day or two before might work, though I got a lot of sensitivity and random shooting pains for 24h

Crest white strips or the coffee and tea drinkers toothpaste they sell in boots both worked well for me
