How someone can do that to a defenceless animal is beyond me.

The video starts way too late

Not defending it but it could have been someone with a phobia of dogs. Looked like she was running away at the start

Yeah but if you like ham you're worse.

Hard to run away from a dog on a lead when you're holding it.

    Sickening.

And not the first time. He's terrified before she touches him. His whole body is hunched in fear.

Animal cruelty is disgusting, and those who practice it should be shot.

    But.

This video may make things look worse than they actually are.

Nope. It seems to look as bad as it is. I looked over the middle bit a load of times to see if she tripped over the lead. Doesn't look like it.

She may only be young. Old enough to know better, but may not deserve the attention this video may bring her.

Why was the person with the camera filming a random person walking down the street?

Maybe he/her had already witnessed the girl in the video abusing the dog and just started filming in case she hit the dog again??

I thought that too but its good to have the video evidence despite seeing a dog get kicked.

From what I've seen from the video the dog was making a nuisance of itself and was allowed to run wild. I wouldn't think twice about sending the fúcker flying if I was in the same scenario.

So your only answer to a dog been a nuisance is to inflict physical abuse.
Would you do they same if it was your kids been a nuisance? Would you drag and kick a child been bold? I suspect not.

Maybe if the owner of the dog properly lead trained him/her this wouldn't have happened or maybe the owner is just a down right bully,

    A child ≠a dog

Im talking about your methods of punishments. If a person can do it to a dog they do it to a child.

Probably best for you not to own animals so.

Please don't inflict your faults on any in future. Thanks.

Was it the woman's dog or someone elses? I just hope it's the latter, because I would hate to think what that dog has to endure at home behind closed doors.

Definitely not the first time that the dog as been hit you can tell be the way the dog bows its head and puts its tail between its legs it know what's coming like it has came a hundred time before.

I think it would have been better if you had said "what if that dog was your child".

The dog was on a lead. She was holding the lead. If the dog was "allowed" to run wild then it was her letting the dog run wild. She can't control her own dog so resorts to beating it.

The worst part is, if anyone tried to do that to the woman, the dog would most likely still defend her with its life.

Ah there's some animal cruelty related thing to choose to be outraged by every week.

I wonder if the dog really was hers, or if she was minding it for someone. She could not actually love the dog and treat it like that.

    ......

    Do you have a dog?

If you feel the need to be physically violent towards an animal to train it, you shouldn't have one. Being an nuisance is no excuse to lift your hand to a defenseless animal.

Sadly owning a dog does not necessarily mean loving it. :(

I used to love dogs, but after living so many years in Barcelona and needing to walk like Indiana Jones down the street so not to step in dogsh'ite .... this video ... meh..

Hardly the dogs fault their owners are ***** for not cleaning up. Unless those were "wild" dogs.
But you are right, not much more annoying and nasty than streets covered in dog ****

Then kick the owners that don't clean up after their dogs, or let them wander unaccompanied. Don't hurt the animals, who can't clean up after themselves.

Could have been worse. At least she didn't chuck it at a polar bear...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,039 ✭✭✭✭retro:electro

If I saw her doing that I would have no qualms in going over to her and giving her a fcuking wallop around the face and would not give a sh1t of the consequences. Anyone who does that to an animal is a fcuking scumbag and I would gladly do time for what I would do if I saw anyone hurting an animal in my presence.

Yeah I read that story, the poor dog. It was probably the only thing the man could do to get the bear off the woman though, when it comes down to it a human's life is more important

    Ho-lee-fook...

Never own an animal, your post suggest you do not have the patience. You also must have been watching another video, because the dog wasn't allowed do anything. It's on a leash. Even so, imagine a dog, running or going wild as you put it. Who's fault is that exactly? The owners or the dogs? You don't beat animals, end of...

I was jogging in clontarf along the sea side. It was a nice day, plenty of people using the green right next to Clontarf Road. A man was "walking" his dog, by walking, I mean he let it off the leash and was let roam. Which I really don't mind. It was a boxer pup, probably only 6 months to a year old. The dog chases us and starts nipping at my shoes, they're nice and shiney and he's a dog being curious. I stop running and turned to the owner. Usual crap "he won't bite, bla bla bla". Dog loses interest and starts acting on his owners calls. We start running again, and the dog chases us. I stop and ask the owner can he put the dog on the leash. The owner calls the dog back and whacks the dog with the leash a few times. Dog nearly shíts himself. It took everything for me to not pummel this scumbag into the dirt. I would have been on the wrong side of the law then and it would be me with a criminal record.

You wouldn't, or if you did the dog would (sadly) probably attack you.

Despite your good intentions all the dog will see in that moment is someone attacking their only source of food and shelter and not a good Samaritan. That and the culture of violence it has been reared in.

So your solution to animal cruelty is to assault the owner? What kind of bizarre logic is that?

Sometimes humans are more despicable than dogs and in this case this scum deserves a taste of her own medicine. Only a coward hits animals because their either too stupid or couldn't be bother learning and teaching a dog proper lead walking.

Ordinarily I would never ever raise my hand to another human or condone anything of the sort, however in this circumstance I think it would actually be an instinctual reaction if I saw some scumbag kick a defenceless animal in that way. People may see that as me being just as bad as the woman who kicked the dog, I would wholeheartedly disagree.

Not sure where I said assaulting the owner is the solution. Also not sure where I said I condoned it. However, if someone were to throttle that degenerate base, or any degenerate base that inflicts cruelty upon an animal, I wouldn't go out of my way to stop the beating. You need to re-read my post, and try understand it this time.

I don't think the odds are very fair 25Kg pup versus a 90Kg fully grown man. Being the owner, the dog is less likely to defend himself.
