Awaits warning from an angry disgruntled mod :)

I drove down my driveway with the lights off about an hour ago so that visitors with my mum wouldn't see me. I am really not in the mood to talk to them so have snuck in and am hiding out in the basement watching tv.

Serious question. Does everyone here floss their teeth before brushing?

    No. Why?

He just built a beautiful big house with a self contained apartment in the basement where I live at the moment so I can care for my mum and rent my house out to pay my mortgage while I was back studying. Will be out of here next year.

So beautiful massive apartment in a gorgeous house will be available to rent....downside is my family living upstairs and it is in Monaghan.

I'm not gonna be around much when the olympics are on. Any of you want to take over the Mega Thread competition this time round?

I'll cancel my wedding and honeymoon if needs must.

Eh are you not supposed to floss after brushing? I've an electronic glossed thing that I use after brushing.

    Am I doing it backwards?

Edit all good Google says the order doesn't matter

    1. Brush
    2. Floss
    3. Mouthwash
    4. Put teeth in glass

    Never liked this day/date
In fact, it's ignored in this house, and if we mention it at all, we call it "The Turd of March."
    Yessir, positively ignored it is.
We go straight through from the second to the fourth, just like we were reared to do.
Growing up in the swingin' fifties, any member of our good catholic family, (all thirty-one of us kids) who dared acknowledge this day by uttering the words "The Turd o' March" had his or her mouth washed out with Sunlight soap and packed off to bed (after the fireside Rosary) with nowt supper.

A glug of mouthwash is just as effective I believe.

I brush, then floss, then briefly brush with the exfoliator, mouthwash.

Has anyone ever tried to mouthwash still drunk and down the shot instead of swishing it?

    *Raises hand*
I have. Although it's hardly the worst thing I've done.

No that drunk I don't brush, let alone floss, I collapse into bed.

I've reviewed my routine, I brush, then floss with the gadget, which leaves too much mouthwash so I brush again
Oh Jesus what's the worst thing then

At a rather epic Christmas party a couple of years ago, I literally collapsed at the bar and slumped into an epic sleep (according to my colleagues)

My story is that I fell asleep then aided a similarly drunk colleague to find a taxi home. ( I have no recall of that journey)

Ever since I have never ever mixed beer, wine, cocktails, proscecco, slippery nipples, and jagermeister.

    I'd rather not say.

The second worst was probably falling down the stairs and landing face first on the dance floor in a disco bar.
In between songs so that everybody got to witness and hear it.

    Ah when young and vain.

My uncle lives in America, and apparently the houses aren't built like here, it's easy to break the walls etc. My cousin was drunk one night and instead of turning right into the bathroom he turned left and fell down the stairs, and put his head out through the wall. I'm sure it was very serious at the time but I think it was pretty funny.

Flossing is for US tv show characters.

Today was my birthday, I'm so old I had to think for a second what age I am. But I got presents and cake so it's not so bad .

In all seriousness, I couldn't use flossing tape as my teeth are very close together.

Then I got the electronic flosser that I have.

The difference it has made to my dental hygiene and the appearance of my teeth is amazing.

You can get cheaper, waterpix are just as good, I asked for a waterpix as an xmas present and ended up with the item I linked to.

I've crap teeth, and one in particular that was hard to clean and was almost permanently stained, and I changed from a regular toothbrush to an electric toothbrush and that flosser above.

The difference in my teeth is amazing, before I'd get them cleaned and a month later the hard to clean tooth would be nearly black (I'm a smoker), three months after the new routine, I'm looking in the mirror amazed at how clean my teeth look.

I was at the dentist earlier in the week, a new dentist, and she said no that you should always floss before brushing because it takes the plaque off and then any leftovery bits will be brushed away much more easily. She also gave me a lesson on flossing because I've been doing it wrong. I wouldn't push the guns down with it.

My teeth have never felt so good.

Next thing I'm doing is buying an electric toothbrush.
